URGENT COMPLAINT AGAINST GERMANY SUBMITTED TO UN SPECIAL RAPPORTEURS

Updated: 3 days ago

On 8 September 2023, Justice pour Tous Internationale and Global Gaze Network submitted an urgent complaint to UN Special Rapporteurs on behalf of a family in Siegen, Germany, citing serious human rights abuses against their children. The complaint addresses forced removal by Germany’s Youth Welfare Office without court approval, prolonged court proceedings, denial of reunification, and deterioration of the children’s health. Highlighting systematic flaws in Germany’s child welfare system, the report underscores the absence of the “best interests of the child” principle. Justice Pour Tous Internationale aims to file a formal complaint under the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) following three months of in-depth research. Seeking 45,000 CHF in funding, it welcomes partnerships with like-minded NGOs to support this initiative involving experienced human rights lawyers and advocacy professionals.
